When the Wanderers would go into the San Bernardino Mountains on shooting trips, the cars came with them. Like "The General Lee" on "Dukes of Hazzard", these cars tore up the mountain roads. You can see a 65' Mustang, 69' Cougar and 70' Dodge Charger (painted like the General Lee) in some of the pictures below. Can you imagine 300 Horsepower on dirt roads?
